At age 36, sitting on my living room couch enjoying an evening with my husband and 2 children, I experienced an emotion that forever changed me. Extreme fear, confusion, and anxiety weaved into one; I discovered a lump on my breast and within days was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Navigating the road of treatment options, I elected to undergo a bi-lateral mastectomy followed by rounds of chemotherapy and radiation. Like so many others, I had complications and physical side-effects and a challenging path to recovery. My family and friends were by my side throughout, each searching for their unique way to comfort me. Through this journey I learned a lot about myself and the love of my friends and family.

Five years later and fully recovered, I launched Pink Ribbon Baskets to empower family and friends of breast cancer patients with unique gift options based on my personal experience.
